Polyester cotton white goods volume of goods shortage of tight fabric varieties have new prices
In recent days, the overall performance of polyester and cotton fabrics in China Textile City, Shaoxing has shown a clear upward trend. The market is gradually recovering, with increasing demand and rising prices across the board. Export-oriented fabric varieties are selling out quickly, while gray cloth prices have also seen a steady increase. Among the top three categories in the textile market—T/C blended cotton and gray fabrics—the latest batch of goods has experienced a significant rise in volume, with transactions at both small and large scales continuing to push prices higher.
In particular, T/C 80/20 polyester-cotton white cloth, especially the 45S "thin cloth" variety, has been in high demand due to foreign trade orders. As the market begins to rebound, transaction volumes have increased, and supply has become intermittent, leading to a continuous price hike. Meanwhile, the 45S × 45S, 139 × 94 T/C 80/20 "flat cloth" white fabric has become one of the most sought-after products currently. Due to the surge in demand, many orders exceed tens of thousands of meters, with some reaching as high as 800,000 meters. This has led to temporary shortages and waiting lists for available goods.
The previous price for the 139 × 94 density "thin cloth" white fabric was around 5.60 yuan per meter, but now, with significantly higher demand, the price has climbed to 5.80 yuan per meter. For smaller lots, some buyers are even asking up to 6.00 yuan per meter. This represents an increase of at least 0.20 yuan per meter, with cumulative gains of over 0.40 yuan per meter in just a short period.
At the same time, other fine cotton fabrics such as T/C 80/20, 45 × 45, 133 × 72 and T/C 80/20, 45 × 45, 133 × 100 have also seen strong demand. These fabrics are being sold rapidly in both small and large quantities, and the current spot market is tight, with prices steadily rising. Overall, the textile market in Shaoxing continues to show positive momentum, driven by both domestic and international demand.
