Bliss first introduced us to some common sense in glass making, such as not being able to take off the gloves, not to wet the gloves, not to get the glass out of the glass machine, not to expose to the sun, pay attention to the cleanliness of the glass, and so on. "The more you operate, the more likely your glass will fail."
He also mentioned that it is necessary to make rational use of water-soluble liquids. “Water-soluble evaporative cutting fluids are a good choice to ensure that all stains are removed. If oil or other contaminants remain, the seal will fail afterwards,†he said.
He also mentioned how to use light to remove cockroaches. Someone in the class asked why he prefers to use the backlight to look for cockroaches. He replied: ç‘•ç–µ can effectively absorb green light, so we generally use green light. There are also some fully automatic inspection machines that can be installed on glass machines to complete the inspection of glass bottles.
Bliss also mentioned another consideration to minimize stress when handling and cleaning glass. “To achieve the desired effect of cutting glass, we need to minimize downward pressure,†he added.
“When cleaning glass, we all like to scrub heavily, thinking that the glass will be cleaner. In fact, this is wrong. Too much scrubbing can easily damage the glass surface.â€
