In today's world, where urban living exposes people to a variety of environmental factors—such as endocrine-disrupting chemicals from factory emissions, synthetic fertilizers in agriculture, and artificial dyes in food—the prevalence of hay fever is on the rise. This condition, triggered by allergic reactions to airborne pollen, causes symptoms like itchy eyes, sneezing, and a runny nose, typically peaking during spring and autumn. The primary culprits are pollen from cedar and cypress trees, as well as various flowering plants.
To combat this issue, modern fabrics have been designed with anti-static properties to prevent pollen from sticking. However, static-charged materials, especially synthetic fibers like polyester, tend to attract and hold onto fine particles such as pollen, dust, and sand. Even natural cotton, though more breathable, has an uneven surface that makes it prone to trapping pollen.
To enhance the performance of cotton, advanced treatments using ultrafine resin particles are applied. These resins smooth out the cotton fibers, reducing their roughness and making it easier for pollen to be removed. As a result, when worn, these fabrics allow pollen to be easily brushed off with minimal effort.
In terms of effectiveness, newly stained fabrics treated with this technology release over 90% of pollen after 30 washes and 30 scrubbing sessions, compared to just 30% for untreated fabrics. This innovation significantly reduces the risk of pollen accumulation, offering a more comfortable and hygienic wearing experience, especially for those suffering from seasonal allergies.
