The difference between Sichuan red and agate
Recently, there is a South Red Agate from Outer Mongolia that appears on the market, and we call it a material. The color of this southern red agate is mostly persimmon red or persimmon yellow. From the color point of view, it seems to have similarities with Nanhong in Liangshan, Sichuan. But when you look closely, you will find that there is a difference! So, what is the difference between the Sichuan red material and the Mongolian material?
1. Mongolian material does not have the moisturizing jade of South Red Agate, and the color is generally dry.
2. As far as the interior is concerned, there are more stone patterns in Mongolian South Red, and a dark red and yellow linear texture is often seen. The southern red agate is more clean, and there are few stone patterns inside, but this is not absolute. Like the one in Liangshan Nanhong, the name is nine-mouth material, which is also mixed with stone, but the color is rose red.
3. In addition, due to the symbiosis of Mongolian South Red and white crystal, most of the Mongolian material can be seen in the silk. This did not appear in the South Red Agate.
4. Mongolian material has many cracks, both large cracks and many small cracks. These cracks are naturally formed and related to the formation environment. There are not many cracks in the Sichuan red agate, and the Baoshan material has many cracks, but the color is obviously different from that of the Mongolian material, and it is easy to distinguish.
