The main material of cloth buttons

Cloth buttons are used to wrap fabrics or leather around buttons. Therefore, various fabrics (fabrics) and leather are one of the main materials for fabric buttons. The following button buttons are classified as follows:

one. Cloth buttons, mainly plastic, aluminum, copper, iron;

two. Cloth buckle, mainly aluminum, iron, copper;

three. Snap button, snap button, mainly copper (I only use this material), plastic, iron, stainless steel;

(1) Plastic

PP material (also known as PP material or PP plastic), is a polypropylene copolymer, the English name is Polypropylene (abbreviation PP); specific gravity: 0.9-0.91 g / cubic centimeter; mold shrinkage rate: 1.0-2.5%; molding temperature: 160 -220°C. PP material is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic. With high impact resistance, strong mechanical properties, resistance to a variety of organic solvents and acid-base corrosion.

Nylon 66 (PA66), which is a polyhexamethylene adipamide, is often made into cylindrical pellets. The molecular weight of the polyamide used for plastics is generally 15,000 to 20,000. The common characteristics of various polyamides are flame resistance, high tensile strength (up to 104 kPa), wear resistance, and good electrical insulation.

(2) Aluminum

Aluminum, silver and white shiny metal, density 2.702 g/cm3, melting point 660.37°C, boiling point 2467°C. Has good thermal conductivity, conductivity and ductility. Due to the dense oxide protective film on the surface of aluminum, it is not susceptible to corrosion.

(3) Copper

H65 copper, copper content 63.5% ~ 68%, other zinc (Zn) as the main alloying element, brass with +H; (yellow) that such as H62, H65, H68 and so on. Its good ductility, punching processability, and electroplating properties have made it widely used in button production. In the case of higher requirements for material color and cold formability, H65 copper has more advantages than H62 copper, and its copper content is also higher than that of H62 copper. H65 brass mechanical properties: tensile strength σb (MPa): ≥ 390.

(4) Iron

Cold-rolled steel sheet is an abbreviation of ordinary carbon structural steel cold-rolled sheet, also called cold-rolled sheet, commonly known as: iron, carbon content is less than 0.25%, cold sheet is made of ordinary carbon structural steel hot-rolled steel strip, after further cooling Rolled to a thickness of less than 4mm steel plate.
