Mango, a Spanish clothing retailer, will tap the market potential of Russia and China

Mango, the Spanish clothing retail chain, plans to open 30 and 80 new sales outlets in Russia and China respectively to further tap the potential of these markets.

Due to continued attention to the Eastern Hemisphere, Mango’s fiscal 2011 profit grew to 1.4 billion euros, an increase of 11% year-on-year.

According to the report of the mango retail chain, the company’s overseas turnover in 2011 was about 82%, while the rest of the turnover came from the domestic market.

Last year, Mango’s online sales increased to 36.2 million euros or 29.8 million pounds, a year-on-year increase of 72%.

In addition to other factors, a well-developed logistics system also makes a significant contribution to the success of the company. The retailer's logistics system, which was established in 2000, can classify and distribute 30,000 garments per category.

Founded in 1984, mango has 8,600 employees and 1,850 of them work at the Hangar Design Center and the headquarters in Barcelona.
