4, improper paper processing

The structure of the paper, the pre-printing and improper handling during the printing process are also factors that cannot be ignored. If the paper is too poor or the water content of the paper is too low, the paper will be brittle and the toughness will be lowered, which will also cause the ink layer to burst. If the paper is not wetted or the semi-finished product is improperly stored, the water content of the paper is low. After high temperature and calendering, the paper becomes brittle and it is easy to crack after being pressed.

Prevention of ink layer explosion

1, the correct design of the matte pattern

When designing, the frosted pattern should avoid the molding part of the packaging box as much as possible. It should be at least 2~3mm away from the indentation and die-cutting position to avoid damage to the matte ink during die-cutting, so as to promote the three-dimensionality.

2, choose the appropriate matte ink, reasonable control of the thickness of the ink layer and UV curing temperature

First of all, we must ensure that the mesh size and particle size are compatible with each other. Generally, 150-200 mesh is used for coarse sand, 200-250 mesh for medium sand, and 300-400 mesh for fine sand.

Secondly, in the printing process, the viscosity of the ink is correctly selected according to the particle size of the ink. The coarse sand is generally controlled at 2000±100 CPS, the medium sand is controlled at 3000±100 CPS, the fine sand is controlled at 3500 soil 100 CPS, and the ink additive is added as little as possible. Choose the right UV lamp. The UV lamp power is recommended to be around 10 kW. The UV curing equipment must be equipped with a cooling device. Generally, a large-diameter air exhaust duct is installed and a water cooling device is installed on the lamp tube, so as to avoid thermal deformation of the paper jam when passing through the light-solid device. The paper is brittle.

3. Reasonable design and arrangement of die cutting process

The perfect shape of the carton comes from the correct die-cutting indentation. The nature of the gold (silver) cardboard and matte inks determines the complexity of the die-cutting process.

4, maintain appropriate temperature and humidity

The gold (silver) paper jam needs to be humidity-treated before printing to stabilize the water content. During the storage of semi-finished products and during die-cutting, care should be taken to keep the temperature and humidity of the workshop constant and ensure that the paper has a suitable water content. The worse the quality of the base paper, the drier the cardboard, and the higher the chance that the printed matter will explode. In case of abnormal weather changes, the die-cutting processing time and the die-cutting stencil should be adjusted in time, and the die-cutting should be avoided in the case where the paper and ink film are brittle.
