Yunnan Baoshan Nanhong has two main producing areas - Yangliu Township and Dongshan Mountain. Yangliu Township is the southern red producing area recorded in "Xu Xiake's Travels", which also caused people to have misunderstood that Yangliu Township is the only producing area of ​​Baoshan Nanhong. In fact, Baoshan is surrounded by mountains, and all the mountains around it have a southern red output, with Yangliu Township and Dongshan Mountain. Yangliu Township is in the west of Baoshan Mountain. The red material in the south is mixed with basalt, and the quality is good, color and complete.
Dongshan, as its name suggests, is located in the east of Baoshan, and contains dozens of different sizes of pits in several townships. The southern red material from Dongshan is in the mud, but it is not like an ellipsoid. Compared with the willow material, Dongshan has more cracks and less completeness. In the Dongshan Mountain of Baoshan City, there are more mines, producing old South Red, and the color is good and the texture is crisp. If there is a whole material, it is good. It is the top grade of Dongshan Laonanhong. Although the Dongshan material is cracked and crisp, the color is good, basically it is persimmon red and persimmon yellow. However, it is still very difficult to get a piece of Dongshan material that is not cracked.
